To understand the story behind the canasta please go here to read the story on my sister Karen's blog. Long story short my sister brought a few back from Peru after a crazy mad hunt for them with her mother-in-law, because they are just. that. awesome.
This, my friends, is a happy canasta.
I have gotten compliments on this bag every time I've taken it somewhere. To give you an idea of the size of it, it's currently holding: 3 ears of corn, 2 lemons, a quart of green beans, a quart of strawberries, a head of romaine lettuce, 2 broccoli crowns, 6 peaches, spicy crab dip and a french baguette. Yet it's still smaller than most of Cousin Jennifer's purses ;-)

What are you trying to say about my purses???? Hehehehehe. Love it! So jealous.
I think we all need to put in orders for canastas the next time someone goes to Peru! Or learn how to make them and make a killing in the US selling them!
Viva la canasta!
You know a bag is worth carrying when it can hold both corn and lipstick. I love it.
