Let Us Eat CAKE

We picked out our wedding cake last night! There were more options than I would ever have imagined. Two huge catalogs to go through. We got to try mini-cupcakes in chocolate, vanilla and yellow cake (pictured above with Kae gazing longingly at them). We decided on:

• Three layer hexagon cake chocolate\vanilla\chocolate
• Raspberry puree filling for the chocolate layer, raspberry cream for the vanilla (we got to try these too and yum!)
• Fondant instead of butter cream icing for that really smooth look
• Red 1 1/2 inch ribbon around the bottom of each layer
• Top layer (our 1 year anniversary cake) up on 2 inch risers with rose petals underneath
• 2 gold rings sitting on the second layer
• The bouquet that I throw will be sitting on the top of the cake with the ribbon coming down the cake. This will be instead of any cake topper as we have not yet found one we like, and this way if we find one it's easy to swap out.

The whole experience was awesome, Cindy at About Weddings in Camp Hill was a true pro!
