Do You Hear the People Sing

Dear Blog Readers, (both of you)

I've been neglecting you. As the wedding draws closer I find less desire to post, and now is when I should be posting the most. I find posting very therapeutic, it's weird. It takes me forever to write a post though, I'm constantly changing things. So I've decided to make a conscious effort at posting more. I've challenged my cousin Jennifer (who's blog link you can find on the right under "Oh the places I go") to a blog-a-thon. Jenni also has a blog that I read regularly, and I knew she'd be up to the challenge. Here's the deal: 7 days of posts starting today, 1 post a day, with a minimum of 10 sentences per post. Oh, and here's the catch, the subject must be fitting to the post AND be a line from Les Miserables.

One year for my birthday my mother got tickets for Les Miserables. I knew nothing about it, not a note. Two or three nights before we went to see it I caught a blurb about it on the news and saw Marius and I stopped in my tracks... and then I heard Eponine and I was hooked. No turning back. Who hasn't felt like that about a guy? I can belt out a Les Miz song like nobody's buisness let me tell ya, however, the result is not pleasing to the ear. Eponine, Fontine, hell I even sing a great Javert (in my head it's great). The music touches me, that's the only way I can explain it.

For those of you not familiar with Les Miserables here is a brief summary, performed by Lego's. It's actually pretty well done. Enjoy. And don't forget to go read Jennifer's blog.

The LEGO Les Miz was awesome! I am torn regarding which is my favorite part. It's a tie between Valjean kicking Javert during "Confrontation" and the red flag waving in "Do You Hear the People Sing?"

You cousins are just loco in the cabasa! This is going to be fun. I remember seeing Les Miz twice..both times being moved to tears by the music. Just a wonderful, powerful and emotional show. Oh, and... LEGOS RULE!
