I'm gonna give you some terrible thrills

I love horror movies. Let me be a little more specific, I love scary movies. I like pull your feet up under you scary movies. The kind of movie that makes you bounce up and down in your seat worrying about the person on the screen, startling you when something jumps out and they play that music. The music is what makes the movie.

The first time I saw Friday the 13 I was babysitting with my friend Mary Costlello. We had to turn down the sound because we just couldn't take it, but we couldn't stop watching. I have sat through countless showings of Carrie and continue to jump at the end when the hand pops up. It's the sound that plays when the hand pops up, makes it so much scarier. It gives me such a rush when I hear it.

As proof that music (and some awesome editing) make the movie I give you Scary Mary:

I, too, love the scary films! I saw Carrie for the first time with you and your friend, Melanie, who lived across the street in Williamstown. I remember we watched on a portable tv in her bedroom. I also saw A nightmare on Elm Street and An American Warewolf in London with you for the first time. We are one.

Ok I made it about 28 seconds into that clip and had to stop. I'm such a scaredy-cat. Are there any clown puppets in Mary Poppins? If so, I'm glad I turned that off before they got the chance to give me nightmares.
