I would be remiss if I let 80's week end without mentioning my favorite movie of the 80's, St. Elmo's Fire. I'll admit I was in love with Rob Lowe way before this movie. The Outsiders, Class, and Oxford Blues. I secretly longed to be the woman in a romantic triangle between Rob Lowe and Julian Sands. And then he played Billy Hicks in St. Elmo's Fire. I knew the movie by heart I can still recite most of it "You know what love is? Love is an illusion created by lawyer types like yourself to perpetuate another illusion called marriage to create the reality of divorce and the illusionary need for divorce lawyers" (Andrew McCarthy in the movie. Click his name his IMDB pic is pretty hot). I wanted to be Demi Moore in the worst way because they hooked up in the movie. I'd still do him, he's aged quite well :) I dedicate this blog to you Rob Lowe, thanks for so many good movies and such tight jeans :)
Subject line lyrics from "Listen to your heart" by Roxette
I had fun blogging 80's subject lines but happy to have a break for a bit. I think Jen and I should challenge each other like this, but maybe only one week a month or something.
