Jennifer and I... We've been called bookends, we've been called Bond and Q, angels, and hell we've even been called each other (repeatedly... by Troll). I can describe something in the most bizarre way and she will know exactly what I'm talking about. She is my partner in crime, and oh you do NOT want to play Taboo against the two of us because you will go down.
I don't know who took this picture of us with my camera but I just love it. It was taken around 2:30 in the morning I believe, in our Honeymoon suite the night of my wedding. I love 3 things about this picture; the champagne cork under the table, the metallic streamer hanging off of my dress, and our smiles.
I'm not sure what we are talking about as I was pretty intoxicated at this point. I would say, from Jen's face, that we were reminiscing about something crazy. It probably began by "Oh my God, do you remember when we...." and any number of stories could have followed about ice storms, drinking, road trips or snow angels (in the Krazy Kat parking lot). We don't look like we are gossiping or up to no good, but you never can tell with us.
She was my sounding board for most things wedding. We picked out my dress and flowers together, she was my online critique for my wedding invitations (thank you Yahoo messenger) and questioned her mom for me on cocktail napkin etiquette. My wedding would not have been as amazing without her. Jen came up on Thanksgiving and stayed until Sunday morning. It's been a long time since we've spent that much time together. We spent hours and hours together for 3 days in a row. Perfect.
This same picture could have been taken 15 year ago with us in the same position. Just sitting somewhere (with libations of course) laughing. Sure we were thinner then, and the construction worker hat on the floor was usually left over from some guy Jen brought home ;-), but the smiles are the same.

SO NOT FAIR!!!! Oh you got me good. It's not easy explaining to people in work why I am squish, squishing like a baby. I was so not prepared for that. I'm just so glad that we were able to do so many wedding things together and spend a wonderful, relaxing and fun Thanksgiving with your families and Jim...can't forget the cook! LOL Coming over to the house before the wedding was a highlight for me. To feel so included in your day was just awesome. And that after party in the suite...well the picture says it all :) We've shared a lot of history in the past 19 years. Spent 10 years of Thursdays together, in several different locations...that's a whole lotta white pizza, fries & grilled chicken ceaser salads! Oh the belly laughs we used have while watching FRIENDS..priceless. Too many to even think of recounting. Your friendship has meant the world to me, and it will continue no matter where our lives take us. I love you my friend! You're my lobster! :D
