In my shower there is a window, it's maybe a foot high by two 1/2 feet long. It's got a small curtain that covers it, but that blocks the view so I move it aside whenever I'm in there. The window is high enough that I can see out of it, but never worry about someone seeing in (well helloooo neighborhood children). One side of the window slides open with a screen, but the other side slides open with nothing obstructing the view.
Opening the window in the summer lets in an abundance of scents; fresh grass, aromatic flowers and neighboring pine. In the winter it's a different experience. It's peaceful and serene (when there is snow), and exhilarating. I slide the window open and watch the cold air rush through. A few deep breaths is all I can take before it's too cold, the back to the steaminess of my shower. It's enough to shake whatever mood I'm in and change my view a little. Today there was no mood to shake, but that doesn't make the view any less enjoyable.
