Today we went to the wedding of James and Stephanie. James works for Drew and I've met them both several times, very nice couple. Their wedding was at a winery at the top of a hill overlooking a small vineyard and the Susquehanna river. The wedding, as you can see, was held outside. Steph cried for a good deal of the ceremony though she was not the blubbering fool I was during mine. Her bridesmaids all wore the same color but all had different dresses which I thinks works very well if you have bridesmaids of varying builds. My bridesmaids were all skinny bitches (even the prego one) so I went with one style that looked good on them all :) Her Matron of Honor was her mother who's dress was so incredibly tight it looked like she had a back-butt at the top. She was very nice and looked very young to be Steph's mother, but just because you CAN squeeze into a size 10 doesn't necessarily mean that you should.
The reception was very nice, in an EMS hall close to the ceremony. Here's the thing though, did we do a million freaking dances at my wedding? Bride and Groom, then bride and dad, then groom and mom, then wedding party, then bride and brother (insert Kae/Dru dance here), then wedding party? This is all in a row, not broken up in any way. THEN... dollar dance, then conga line, then chicken dance, then hokey-pokey, then electric slide, then new electric slide, then they did the garter/bouquet... OMFG! All I wanted was once dance with my husband. What's a girl got to do to get a slow song around here? ...then Thriller (seriously... Thriller), then the Grease montage... We sat down at 3pm, it was after 7 when we got to dance together. Drew went up and requested our wedding song. A slow song came on, we danced and then it went into our wedding song. We stayed until that was over and then bid the happy couple adieu. That's all I wanted, just to sway with my love.

How odd that we both did wedding themes tonight. And why wouldn't you be excited about the new electric slide? It's the old one, only newer...and that's just hot.
Hmmmm....the bride's dress...do I see cranberry going across the top? Would that be a gown I would recognize? ;)
Smooches!
