The Votes are In

As you know we watch American Idol. Wednesday night David Cook was awarded the title of American Idol for 2008. We've been watching it since January. Drew didn't pick a contestant this year going on the "I picked last years winner from the beginning, how can I ever top that" theory. I picked Carly, who got voted out about a month or two ago, and Kaeleigh picked the second place winner David Archeletto. Around March I started to like David Cook. Not more than Carly, but I just really liked his quiet rocker style. He did an awesome version of Lionel Richie's "Hello" and rocked out the Chris Cornell version of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean".

The video clip above is about 8 minutes long. It shows them announcing the winner, and then they sing the song that the winner will record. It's flawless. He just won the biggest talent show in the US and sings the song amazingly wiping the tears from his face.
