It's graduation night for Kaeleigh! My little girl, our little girl... is going to be a freshman in high school. Holy Crap, when the hell did that happen? We were talking about going shopping for things for tonight... non-diet soda, some chips, a festive table cloth, and a cake. All of a sudden her face looked up in complete surprise and said "I get a cake?".
She was so happy at the supermarket, practically skipping because of the cake. I was picking something out in the frozen foods section and I saw Kae and Dru debating something. They looked over at me, and then went back to their debate. I joined them after a minute and asked Drew what was up. Drew turned to me and said "She thinks that she can't get an ice cream cake because it's $19.99". Seriously, that's how this kid thinks. I hear other mother's complain all the time about their kids spending at this store or that store, but not Kae. I'm truly blessed to have such an awesome kid.
So tonight we'll all pile in the high school auditorium and watch her sing with the chorus, then watch the recognition ceremony where they recognize every child individually. Then, in a few short months it's off to high school. Can't wait to see what comes next.
