Liz was brave enough to ask for her friends and family to compose “guest blogs” to post on her site. Hmmm…memories of Liz…where should I begin?
Top 5 memories of the best cousin in the world!
5. LOVE YOU DOWN – It may come as a shock to all of you that Liz and I sometimes fancied ourselves a singing duo. One of our greatest hits was that all-time classic “Love You Down” by Ready for the World. We worked on our harmonies and were ready to cut a single and go on a world tour. I’m not exactly sure why our musical career didn’t take off.
4. THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKING – Liz and I were in Echelon Mall once in the mid 1980’s when we were approached by a boy pledging a frat at
3. FLOATS LIKE A BUTTERFLY; STINGS LIKE A BEE – When I was around 3 and Liz was around 7 we were playing in our Nanny’s backyard and a bee have the audacity to sting me on the bottom of my foot. I wailed and carried on, as I knew I was dying (I’ve always been a tad dramatic!) I had to be carried back up a flight of steps to get back in the house and the only person I would let carry me in my time of need was Liz. And like the trooper she is, poor Liz carried my chubby baby body up a staircase.
2. I REMEMBER DOING THE TIME WARP – Liz introduced me to The Rocky Horror Picture show when I was 14. We would go to the midnight showings where the film played on screen while local actors mimicked the roles in person in the theater. It was the coolest thing in the world and has since become one of my all-time favorite movies. I cannot watch it without thinking of her.
1. THAT’S THE WAY THE COOKIE CRUMBLES – When we were little, Liz and I were making Italian cookies with our Nanny. One of the ingredients was Nanny’s favorite…Anisette. Nanny measured out the Anisette for the recipe, then took a sip from the bottle stating, “A little for the cookies; a little for Nanny.” Liz and I both cherish that little snip in time and will never forget it…much to Nanny’s dismay!
Those are just a few of the many moments in time that Liz and I have shared. I love you, Liz. You are an amazing friend and the best cousin in the world!
Lots of love,
Jennifer

Almost peed my knickers when I saw that picture...did we have the hair,or what?
Deeply guarded personal secret... I remember this photo and when I was little, this picture made me want to be you, or be old enough to be friends with the two of you so I could be that cool. Hugs!
