Last night Kaeleigh went to the Homecoming dance at the high school with a bunch of her friends. Drew and I took the opportunity to go out to dinner (like we ever need a reason) and wrap up a little birthday shopping that was still left to do.
We sat outside on the deck at Willies. It was a beautiful night, nice and cool, and the lights from the city were shining off the Susquehanna river. We tried something new, Willie's Crab Bread. It was a crab dip (possibly cream cheesy) with lump crab meat. They split a 10 inch french bread roll, spread the dip on top, covered it lightly with cheese and broiled it until the cheese was melted and brown. The bread was crispy around the edges and not too hot to eat but still warm. An excellent choice made by Drew.
After dinner we headed over to Kmart for a little add-on to Kae's birthday gift (which I'll tell you about tomorrow) and a card. It was pretty late and about 1/2 hour before closing when we were ready to check out. As we walked up there were shockingly 2 registers open and nobody waiting. That never happens at this Kmart. There were 2 worker-girls up at the registers, one was riding around on one of the electronic shopping carts. She got off the cart as we walked to the register and Drew said "I've always wanted to try one of those". The girl smiled and told him he was welcome to try it. How could I not take a picture?
