Behold my birthday cake.
It's an incredibly delicious yellow cake with fudge frosting, fall colored sprinkles, and a deep red ribbon of frosting along the bottom. Beautifully Autumn. It had "Happy Birthday E" written on it. I use that when I leave him lovey notes around the house... "E". Drew came home with the cake on my birthday but we didn't cut it until this weekend.
The day after we first cut it the icing slowly began sliding down off of the top layer of cake. I've never seen a icing part so cleanly from a cake before, weird, anyway, as we (and by we I mean Kaeleigh and I), stole small slice after small slice it slid down more making the cake look as it does in the picture above. I saw it and laughed. It's kind of appropriate for a birthday. Like the cake life changes and may not always be pretty, but it's still sweet. And then I cut myself a chunk and ate it over the sink. Don't you just love a story with a happy ending?
Hee hee.
