It's time. The week of cookie baking is upon us. Endless sticks of butter and bags of sugar will stream through our kitchen as I hum and cook (and test) the usual suspects in my cookie trays... chocolate chip, sugar, butterscotch and peanut butter cookies. This year I'm adding a few new items to the list, and the one above has been a Christmas favorite of mine for years but this year is my first attempt at making them.
Jen's mom makes Chinese Noodle Cookies every year at Christmas time. They are a delicious mix of chocolate, butterscotch, peanuts and chow mein noodles. If you're lucky... and relatively local... you'll see some of the scattered in a cookie tray before you this holiday season. I highly recommend giving them a try.

I think Im going to take the lazy route and just but premade cookies and then frost them myself.....or just buy frosting and eat that.
Maybe I'll bake.....I just don't know where any of out cookie cutters are....
I love those cookies. LOVE THEM! they remind me of my youth, but I'm not sure why because my mom didn't make them.
