So, not sure if you know this, we call Kae "the bear". When she was young she was "pooh bear", then along the way "little bear" and "kae bear" were added, and occasionally you will hear a "BEAAR-A" yelled when I can't get her attention. It's kind of funny, and she answers to it.
Anyway... the picture above was taken in January, and I love it. Click it for the big version. A perfect pine cone just hanging in a tree. Beautiful. Any time I looked out back I'd see it... defiant and mocking it's fallen brothers on my lawn. Today when I went to work I looked out my truck window and saw the pine cone had fallen. As Kaeleigh would say, "frown". I got over it a second later and headed off to work.
When I came home Kaeleigh and I were talking and she said "I can't believe that pine cone is still in the tree". Magical. I replied "oh, really, this morning it wasn't there"... I heard a little giggle and got "oh... hee hee , yeah, well maybe I might have ummm put it back there... just you wouldn't see it and get sad".
Biggest. Heart. Ever.
