Well it's here. the 8th grade Semi-formal dance has finally arrived. I've been hearing about this thing since September. Kaeleigh's date for the dance, as you can see, is Smash (Ashley). For those of you who don't know Smash, she and Kae became friends in 1st or 2nd grade, when we moved in with Aunt Eileen. She lives in New Jersey. Her mom let her take the day off of school and drove her up today just so she could go to the dance with Kae (read: get rid of her for the weekend ;-).
The theme for the dance is Hollywood. The girls got all decked out and glittered up. Ash ended up wearing a dress that was Kae's "backup" dress that we got for $10 a few months ago. This past week we went out and got the dress she's wearing in the picture, shoes, headband and some jewelry. They looked beautiful. Kae was so excited to have Ash come with her, the didn't stop hugging for like 5 minutes when they first saw each other.
I'm picking them up at 9 tonight and taking them to an "after party". It's a sleepover at one of the girls houses for a bunch of girls attending the dance. I pity that poor mother, but better her than me.

It's hard to believe those are the same two girls. Lovely as can be, most definitely!
