King of the Forest

Sometimes these are just little " 'member this?" posts. This one, awesomely enough, goes out to both my Mom and Jen C. When I started living with my Mom a few years ago she was already well addicted to INXS Rockstar, that show where they were looking for a new lead singer for INXS. I think there were like 5 contestants left when I started to get into it. Well it turned out that Jen watched it too so that provided for many a gab session about who was great and who was sucky. The crazy dreads of Jordis or the hotness of Mig. (who I thought went back and forth between really hot and elf-like)... there was always plenty to talk about. If you have a few minutes I highly recommend the video links (click on their name), each one is uniquely done my favorite is when Jordis sings "The Man Who Sold the World".

I started digging Marty Casey the night he did Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, it reminded me a lot of when my brother sings the song. One night the final 2 (I think) had to do original songs. Jen and I both loved Tree's, Marty Casey's original. Unfortunately he came in second in the competition, but at least that meant he didn't have to tour with the weird mustache guy from INXS.
