The results are in after week 3. I'm down 13.8 pounds and over 8 inches. I don't trust the inches thing so I rounded down. Measuring yourself I think it's hard to hit the same point every time you measure, but still down is down.
I'm a little nervous about next weekend when we have a first holy communion and 3 Mother's Day events (Mom, Louise, Drew's Mom). I'm sure it will be tough, sugars and carbs will abound, and we'll go off course. The thing is, it's ok to have a piece of cake, just not a piece of cake, some cookies and a few sodas. An occasional cocktail is fine, but not 4 or 5 every night. It all adds up and right now we are trying to subtract.
I complain every morning about working out at 6am, and poor Drew gets the brunt of it, but I'm still there standing next to him, cursing out Tony Horton )and on more than one occasion flipping off the tv). The hardest part so far was getting started and used to the routine. It was always "next Monday" or "next month" but we finally reached the point when we got to "now", and so far it's been going great.
*My subject line is from You're an Original sung by Sheryl Crow and Lenny Kravitz. It will forever remind me of my partner in crime Jen and a weekend we hit a Sheryl Crow concert and then road tripped it to Bushkill Falls. It was a fun and adventure filled (just like our friendship). Love ya buddy!
