This, my friends, is my new rainbow maker. The rainbow maker is about 4 inches long. The top of it is a small solar panel, the bottom a Swarovski Crystal. It attaches to a sunny window and the mechanism attached to the crystal slowly spins around, sending little rainbow bits swirling around the room.
I was entranced by this cool contraption at my Mother-in-law's house when we were there over the holidays. Wednesday I received one in the mail, sent from her. Such a thoughtful random gift. Today was the first day the sun was out since I received it and I am fascinated by it! I absolutely love that it's solar powered. The sun not only provides the source for the beautiful rainbows, but the power to have them dance about my walls, floors, ceiling... and cats :)
Blog title from Sheryl Crow's "Soak up the Sun".

That's fantastic! I love surprise gifts :-)
That is AWESOME!
I saw that the other day in the Scottsdale Art Gallery store. I was intrigued at the time. Now I know it works! Cool!
