One of the weird perks that happened when I moved to Pennsylvania is that it has drawn my sister Karen and I closer. We began back and forth emailing every few days. Nothing long and extravagant; "We're fine, some funny memory to make the other one laugh or commiserate with whatever they were venting about in their last email, love you, bye", but it's there. She's really excited about the wedding, she's getting me more excited. Most importantly though, she's making me feel normal. She had the crazy dreams, she thought she was forgetting something, she's been there... it's ok.
She is a faithful reader of my blog, and sometimes I post silly things simply because I know one day she will read it and smile. Like this video below. It's a little skewed and the scene jumps around a bit, but she'll know the part I think is funniest because we said the line a million times. If I call her up and sing "Oh I went out to a party" she'll bust out the next line without skipping a beat.
So I use this post to say thanks Karen. Thank you for always being there no matter what, for being ready for with a "don't panic, you're not crazy" when I start to think I am.
PS. I love you
PPS. Stop crying :)

I wish I knew Karen better...if she likes The Young Ones she is my kind of people.
My favorite character in the 2nd part of The Young Ones clip is "Lord Snot."
And, yes, blogging everyday IS hard. I think Rocky Horror has been more difficult than Les Miz. The 80's should be easlier in that there's a lot we can choose from.
Now how did you know I'd start crying? You're the best sister ever. Weird post side effect -- itchy back. *chicka*chicka*chicka* Love you mucho!
