Takin' Care of Business

So, here's the deal with my phone. No miraculous overnight resurrection. Called Apple and water damage is the only non-repairable damage there is. Of course. The AT&T store said since it's not a new contract they'd be happy to sell me a new one for $600 or I can wait 10 months (yes, ten months kids) and at that time I can buy a new one for the low price of $199 which is what we paid initially. So I cursed, and then I cried, and then I cursed again... a lot... and then I hit Craigslist.

On Craigslist Harrisburg I found a few AT&T phones including the BlackBerry 8110 shown above. A few quick emails with the girl, my attempts at bargaining failed, and I was off to meet her in a supermarket parking lot. She was a nice girl, young, who was going in on a family plan with her sister and they were going Verizon. My iPhone is upstairs sitting in a bag of rice. Yes rice, at the advice of several online forums, the AT&T guy, and Kae's friend Amanda. Apparently the rice draws out the water. Whatever, it's not like it's gonna make it worse.

Once my phone works, I find a used one online, or 10 months pass the phone will be passed down to Kaeleigh. She is currently using a borrowed phone from a friend of ours who had a spare since her phone was broken many months ago. So now I have a phone, a cute phone, that works. It's not my iPhone, but for now it will do.

After I left her I hit the mall and exchanged my new sneakers that had a little tear in one of the shoelace holes, and then picked up a little gifty for a princess I know who just turned one. I'm not usually this productive on Wednesday night, Drew bowls, Kae has youth group and I don't usually do anything. Tonight, however, I was on the move and TCB!
