Something was missing

Fine, I'll admit it... I never got into LOST. It's one of those shows that I really wish I dug, but I don't. It had to be something special if so many people who I think have great taste in shows loved it as much as they did. There's a chance at some point I'll borrow the first season from someone I know (cough Jen C. cough) and try and get into it. I'll give it more than one episode and see if it grabs me at all.

I tried a few times, starting with the first episode, but for me it fell flat. It's surprising to me, because I find it very Stephen King-esque. Stories with many characters and flashbacks galore have had me in their grasp for several of King's books. I've even read somewhere that there are many similarities between his Dark Tower series and the Dharma Initiative in LOST (whatever the hell that is).

So, to all my friends who are so into LOST I hope tonight brings the answers you are looking for. I hope the ride comes to an exciting conclusion. If not, then just click the picture below to be treated to a Season 6 recap of the shirtless men of LOST. Either way, enjoy.

Blog title from "Something was missing". This song is only in the stage production and the 1999 version of the film, not the 1982 version. (Haha Jen, I'm copying you again. Actually this time it's just flat out plagiarism.). Visit Cousin Jennifer's blog to see her post on LOST, which she loves.

I just wrote on Jen's blog how I feel about LOST. I watched the first 3 seasons with rapt interest. And then got pissed off. It was ALWAYS all over the place, too many flashbacks. I started to feel abused in a way. Does that make sense? But now I'm thinking about another go (geez, this sounds like an abusive relationship). All my original friend viewers are hanging on the edge of their seats tonight. I feel like I should have kept up. Sigh...

LOST sort of "lost" it's way in my opinion for a little bit in the middle years, but I held on and am glad I did. The finale was wonderful in my opinion and well worth watching.
